Release Date: 5/1/2025
HX EFFECTS VERSION: Because I don’t own an HX Effects, I’ve found a work around to use the Helix Favorites Blocks which can be uploaded manually into the HX Effects. This file is a folder of all of the individual Blocks from the Anastasio 25 Helix preset.
Designed around Trey’s rig in the later part of 2024 with two Mesa Boogie Mark III amps, one for CLEAN and one for LEAD, the favorites blocks include Whammy, Wah, Klon, Tubescreamer #1, Tubescreamer #2, Ross Compressor, Nux Vibe, Amp Block Clean, Amp Block Lead, Cab Block, SupaPuss #1, SupaPuss #2, Reverse Delay, Reverb, Leslie, Tremolo Chop & Boomerang Looper.
I spent a lot of time dialing these amps and effects in, trying them out at several live shows with my bands, Touch of Trey (phish & dead), A Live One (phish) & HeartByrne (talking heads). Testing them at home with several different cabinets, monitors and headphones, and then really dialing them in when pushing them at very loud live venue levels. I believe they’re balanced very well and sound really good in the mix!
