Line 6 HX Stomp Preset Anastasio23

Line 6 HX preset for Trey Anastasio’s 2023 guitar tone. Designed around the Trainwreck Express amp and his smaller pedalboard, this preset has a buttery clean channel and a edge of break up crunch channel. New to this preset is a really warm and balanced sounding Leslie that moves from slow to fast with the expression pedal. The subtle delay (less) adds a nice texture and fullness to the guitar and is great for lead.

I designed this preset for the Helix but have scaled it down to two presets for the HX Stomp, which can only load 8 blocks max at a time. The first file, Anastasio23 STP, is the main file and contains TS Less, TS More, Ross, Nux Vibe, Trainwreck Express amp + cab, Aqua-Puss Less and Reverb Less. The second file, Anastasio STPE, contains the extra effects that are in the Helix preset: Whammy, Aqua-Puss More, Reverse Delay, Reverb More, Leslie, Tremolo Chop and Looper.

The Anastasio23 STP, main preset, comes with 3 snapshots: Clean, Crunch (Trainwreck on the edge of breakup) and YEM Note (TS Less + TS More + Ross + Aqua-Puss Less + Reverb Less), for a very strong lead sound that is very capable of getting that infinite sustain.

This is the preset I am currently using on the Helix, when playing live with Phish tributes: Touch of Trey & A Live One. I am also using it with Talking Heads tribute: HeartByrne. I’ve refined it for months, continually tweaking it during and after live performances thru decent sized and loud venue sound systems. I think it’s a really creamy sounding preset that sits very nicely in the mix.
